Privacy

This tool is run by the admins of the Lease Takeover Vancouver Facebook group. It is not a third-party service.

What we collect

Photos you upload (VIN, lease or payoff documents), the VIN and car details, the km you enter, and how you use these pages: pages viewed, steps taken, time, browser and device type, the page that sent you, and your IP address. Contact details only if you ask for dealer offers.

Why

To estimate your car's value, to improve our pricing over time, and, only if you ask, to get you dealer offers.

Sharing

We never share your information with dealers or anyone else unless you ask for offers and tick the consent box. Then we share it with up to 3 partner dealers. We do not sell your data.

Security

The connection is encrypted (HTTPS). No account is needed. Photos are kept in private storage that only the group admins can access; they are never publicly viewable.

How long

We keep this data to improve our pricing unless you ask us to delete it.

Your rights

Use the "Delete my data" link on your page, or message the group admins, to see or delete what we hold. We act on requests within 30 days, in line with BC's Personal Information Protection Act.
